I have often wanted to visit Russia. This painting is inspired by reading the works of Dostoevsky. I was trying to imagine what life in the harsh winter of Siberia might be like. When doing so, I happened to cross some pictures of the Siberian mountains – and I was very impressed by the beauty of the landscape.
